Purpose

Original, completed empirical or theoretical research with clear findings and implications for digital education, VET, or workforce development in African or comparable contexts.

Eligibility

Completed research with data, analysis, and conclusions. Work in early stages should be submitted as a Short Paper.

Word count

6-8 pages (excl. references). Abstracts: 250 words. References follow APA 7th edition.

Review process

Double-blind peer review by the Scientific Committee (minimum 2 reviewers per paper).

Presentation

15-minute oral presentation followed by 5-minute moderated discussion. Sessions group 3–4 papers on related themes. Presenters must attend in person.

Language

English (sole official conference language).

Proceedings

Included in published conference proceedings with DOI.

Review Criteria - Full Papers
  • Clarity and significance of the research question or problem statement
  • Theoretical grounding and engagement with relevant literature
  • Appropriateness and rigor of methodology
  • Quality and validity of evidence presented
  • Relevance of findings and clarity of contribution to the field
  • Implications for practice, policy, or future research
  • Quality of writing, structure, and academic presentation

General Requirements

  • Language: English only
  • File format: PDF for initial submission; Microsoft Word (.docx) for camera-ready versions
  • Font: Times New Roman 10pt, paper size 210x297mm, margins on all sides (see template)
  • Line spacing: 1.2 for body text
  • Referencing: APA 7th edition throughout
  • Anonymisation: All submissions undergo blind review. Remove all author names, affiliations, acknowledgements, and self-identifying references from the manuscript.
  • Tables and figures: Numbered consecutively, with captions; referenced in the text; submitted at sufficient resolution (min. 300 dpi for images)
  • Ethical considerations: Submissions reporting on human participants must confirm ethical approval or waiver in the methods section

Full Research Paper (6-8 pages excl. references)

  • Title (max. 15 words)
  • Abstract (250 words): Background, Aims, Methods, Results, Conclusions
  • Keywords: 4–6 keywords
  • Introduction and problem statement
  • Theoretical framework and literature review
  • Methodology and research design
  • Findings / Results

  • Conclusions, implications, and limitations
  • References (APA 7th edition; no page limit for references)
  • Optional: Appendices

All submissions must follow the formatting specifications. Non-compliant submissions will be returned without review.
