The Kenya School of TVET
Our host, the Kenya School of TVET provides an exceptional setting for our upcoming conference, combining a distinguished legacy with a forward-looking role in technical and vocational education. Established in 1978 as the Kenya Technical Trainers College, the institution has grown into one of the region’s most respected centres for training technical educators and advancing skills development across Africa.
Today, as the country’s premier institution dedicated to the professional development of TVET trainers, it sits at the heart of national efforts to build a highly skilled workforce.
Anchored in Kenya's Vision 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals, KSTVET serves as a global centre of excellence in TVET, research, and consultancy. The institution offers pre-service and in-service programmes, diploma and certificate courses in technical trainer education, and an extensive portfolio of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programmes (spanning areas from AI skills and green jobs to curriculum development and e-learning), all aligned with Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET). Through its Dual TVET Academy, National ODeL platform, and partnerships with global organisations including UNESCO, Microsoft, and the ILO, KSTVET plays a pivotal role in developing a skilled, adaptable workforce to drive Kenya's socio-economic transformation.
Set in Nairobi’s diplomatic district, the campus offers modern training facilities, including specialised workshops, digital learning spaces, and dedicated conference amenities, providing an inspiring and well-equipped environment for dialogue, collaboration, and innovation.
